Our 2015 User Forum conference in Victoria, BC begins in just 20 days, from September 29-October 1. We already have a packed agenda, including two session tracks, guest speakers, an evening at the Royal British Columbia Museum and celebrations for Accruent’s 20th anniversary.

We’re excited for the opportunity to spend some of this milestone year with customers, and won’t waste any time getting the celebration started. Things will kick off at our Welcome Reception on Tuesday evening with desserts, décor, giveaway items and a special announcement. On Wednesday, our founder and CEO Mark Friedman will get the day’s events started with an introduction after breakfast. Here are a few conference event highlights:

Beyond Capital Planning – Getting More Value From Your Assessment Data

11 AM – 12 PM PT, Wednesday, September 30

This session will be presented by Jon Burbee, Executive Director of Capital Planning, Province of British Columbia. Mr. Burbee will give real-world examples of how they gained significant value from using capital data for purposes beyond capital planning.

Integrating Energy Audits into Your Facility Planning

11 AM – 12 PM PT, Wednesday, September 30

In this session, learn how you can bring more in-depth energy conservation information into traditional facility conditions assessments using energy modeling. This will be presented by Susan Buchanan, Senior Director, Services, Accruent. She is also hosting our webinar tomorrow, “Planning for Sustainability,” which is open to everybody. Register now!

Royal British Columbia Museum Social Event

6-10 PM PT, Wednesday, September 30

The day will end with food, drinks and networking at the Royal British Columbia Museum, a beautiful natural and human history museum that was founded in the late 19th century and given its “royal” title by Prince Philip in 1987.

Morning Keynote: How the Internet of Things is Improving FM Asset Management

9-10 AM PT, Thursday, October 1

Thursday will begin with a thought-provoking keynote by Jeff Campbell, MBA, Ph. D., IFMA Fellow. It’s estimated that there will be over 9 million connected devices by 2018. Mr. Campbell will discuss how FM practices should embrace the Internet of Things.

Closing Session / Executive Q&A

3:30-4:30 PM PT, Thursday, October 1

A staple at all of our user conferences, the executive Q&A is a wonderful forum for our customers to pose their questions and hear from our executive team. It’s a great way to end the conference with a conversation. The closing session is also when we will award the grand prize winner!
