The Project Manager is responsible for the management and successful implementation of complex enterprise software solutions, often for multiple projects simultaneously, to Accruent’s customer base.

These implementation projects involve definition and management of project scope and project plan, management of Accruent team resources, development of requireents, creation of functional specifications, support of business process flow (BPF) initiatives, testing of customizaitons, and software installation, configuration and implementation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manages multiple small/medium projects or one/few large projects in varying phases of implementation simultaneously without write-off.
  • Uses Accruent’s Accelerate implementation method to manage and direct project.
  • Works directly with client’s project manager and business users to identify project objectives, develop project plan, create project charter.
  • Monitors, maintains, and manages overall project plan, scope, and schedule with client project manager.
  • Ensures that all project management reports, project deliverables are professionally completed and delivered on time.
  • Actively identifies and sells additional solution components to help achieve clients’ objectives.
  • Oversees one or more Consultants to maximize the efficiency of the project.Assigns Consultants to project tasks.
  • Advises client on relevant business best practices.
  • Leads Business Process Flow (BPF) engagements.
  • Manages project change requests and gains additional funding to ensure project profitability.
  • Assesses project success and challenges post-mortem and provides formal written project evaluation.
  • Collaborates with customer team participants and Accruent staff across departments (including Product Development,Contract Services, Technical Services, Support Services, Education Services)
  • Achieves quarterly utilization targets.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by Accruent management.

 

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven pro-active team leader and self-starter with the ability to drive decisions and consensus, and to resolve issues.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in order to liaise between the user community, executive sponsors and the technical team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to make sound professional judgments and to effectively communicate those to client executives.
  • \Ability to manage challenging clients and maintain a strong position for Accruent.
  • Extensive experience in enterprise software implementation project management (8 years minimum).
  • Experience in business consulting – higher education and Public Sector a plus.
  • Experience in successfully conceptualizing and up-selling solution components to existing clients.
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects, deliverables and resources simultaneously.
  • Excellent presentation skills and polished/professional demeanor
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office, including MS Project and MS PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to accept out-of-town travel assignments of varying duration.
  • Familiarity with relational databases, query tools, Web and Client/Server architectures, Citrix and Terminal Services.
  • Knowledge of Java, Java Script and Web servers a plus.
  • Undergraduate degree in business or computer sciences. Graduate degree a plus.
  • PMP certification a plus.
