The Senior Technical Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support for Accruent’s real estate performance management software. Identifies, records, researches and resolves clients’ technical problems. Works on problems of complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires complete evaluation of various factors and resolutions may require updates at the code level.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prioritizing and resolving issues of the highest technical and political severity.
  • Interact with customers, partners, and software developers to provide technical advice and assistance.
  • Provide customer and systems support of enterprise technology software and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze databases, application servers and new technologies.
  • Work to analyze and resolve escalated support issues.
  • Identify and document product defects for Developers.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all Accruent-supported products and technologies.
  • Consistently demonstrates Accruent’s values: respect, integrity, drive to excellence, results orientation, winning attitude
  • Completes other duties as assigned by Accruent management
Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years telephone customer support experience (required) Strong database skills in Oracle OR SQL Server-Database Administration (required)
  • Proficiency in Windows server environments. (required)
  • Proficient in web server technology (WebLogic, Apache, etc.) (required)
  • Experience in communicating and writing technical (required)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (required)
  • Strong understanding of XML, web services and services-orientated architectures (preferred)
  • Proficient in Networking, Citrix, Terminal Server and FTP (preferred)
  • Experience working with database report writing tools-Business Objects/Crystal Reports, Cognos (preferred)
  • Good team player with ability to work both within a team and independently (required)
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on customer needs and technical knowledge
  • Undergraduate degree in related discipline (required; Engineering/CS/MIS degree preferred)
