Mark Friedman

Chief Executive Officer

Mark Friedman founded Accruent in 1995 and established the company as the leading provider of real estate performance management solutions. Accruent's solutions are used by 20% of the Fortune 500 and 40% of the Top 100 Retailers. In his role as CEO, Mr. Friedman is responsible for directing Accruent's overall vision, corporate strategy and operations.

Under his leadership, the company received two Dorsey Awards for excellence in customer service, was recognized as Software Developer of the Year in 2006, and was named to the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 list for the last seven consecutive years for achieving outstanding revenue growth.

Mark was recognized as a finalist for the Entrepreneur of the Year award, was named as one of the Top 30 People to Watch in commercial real estate, and was recognized as one of the Top 40 People Under 40 in retail. He is also a recipient of the BridgeGate20 Award.

Mark holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tulane University's School of Engineering.

Robert Pape

Chief Financial Officer

Robert Pape has more than 20 years of executive and financial management experience in both publicly traded and venture-backed private companies. As CFO for Accruent, Bob heads corporate finance and acquisitions, and oversees Accruent’s finance, legal and human resource teams.

Previously, Bob acted as CFO and completed the successful initial public offerings for AdFlex Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: INVX), Flextronics, Inc. (NASDAQ: FLEX) and Zitel Corporation (NASDAQ: FRTL). Bob also served as President and CEO of Sequencia, Inc., the leading provider of collaborative product development and deployment solutions for the process industry, and as CFO and COO at Bindco Corporation, a turnkey supplier of software services.

Bob has a bachelor's degree from Rockhurst College and a CPA Certificate from the State of Missouri.

Mike Ellis

President, FAMIS Software, and Senior Vice President, Industry Solutions

As founder and President of FAMIS Software, Inc., Mike Ellis directs the company’s overall strategy and operations. FAMIS Software’s solutions are used by more than 150 organizations, highlighting FAMIS’ deep expertise in higher education and the public sector. Mike designed and programmed the first version of FAMIS in 1985 and continues to play a primary role in ongoing product design. FAMIS Software was acquired by Accruent in February 2008.

Mike has over 28 years of experience with advanced business software design and has been involved in developing and implementing facilities management systems for over 26 years. In addition to his continuing role as president of FAMIS Software, Mike leads Accruent’s Industry Solutions organization. This organization engages with customers and leverages the domain expertise within Accruent to define solution roadmaps that capture best practice and provide competitive advantage to each market Accruent serves.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Management from California State University, Long Beach in May 1980.

Carey Capra Bettencourt

Senior Vice President, Customer Solutions

As Senior Vice President of Customer Solutions, Carey Bettencourt is responsible for the delivery of complete solutions to Accruent customers worldwide. Carey’s group had end-to-end responsibility for client success. This includes operational best practices, change management, implementation, contract services, customer support, product development and client services.

Carey brings to Accruent 18 years of enterprise software industry experience in customer and partner focused executive roles at both public and private companies. Prior to joining Accruent, Carey served as Consulting Sales Director for Oracle, focusing on strategic accounts. She also served as Vice President, Client Services, at Vroom Technologies where she led all post-sales services and outsourcing operations. And, as Vice President, Strategic Accounts, at ChannelPoint, she was responsible for both domestic and international consulting activities. Carey began her software career at J.D. Edwards where she held consulting and business development leadership roles.

Carey has an MBA from Pepperdine University and a bachelor's degree from University of California, Berkeley.

Peter West

Senior Vice President, Marketing

Peter West brings more than 25 years of enterprise software experience to Accruent, having managed marketing, development, service, and sales organizations in North America and Europe. As Senior Vice President of Marketing, Peter is responsible for business development, marketing communications and field marketing, and works with Accruent’s partners to define and build the Real Estate Performance Management market.

Peter was a member of the executive team that grew ASK Computer Systems from $4M to $400M. He has served as an officer of both public and private companies, including Avalon Software, Platinum Software, and RiverOne. Peter spent three years with AMR Research, a leading industry analyst firm, as Vice President and General Manager. As principal of GOTOMARKET, Inc., a marketing consulting firm, Peter has worked with more than 20 software companies to achieve strategic change. In his corporate, analyst, and consulting roles, Peter has been a driving force in the definition and development of new enterprise application markets.

Peter holds a B.Sc. in computer science from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom.

Ning Ning Yu

Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer, Ning Ning Yu is responsible for overall technology direction and defining the architecture of Accruent products, as well as integrating them with ERP platforms and complementary solutions developed by Accruent business partners.

Ning Ning has more than 20 years of experience in software product development, product management, hosted service operations, and systems integration. Her industry experience includes working with leading companies in enterprise mobile communications, eCRM, and Web/Internet-based service industries. Prior to joining Accruent, Ning Ning served as an executive of several high-growth companies, including ASK Jeeves, Vertel, Digital Sky, and most recently Sendia Corporation, which was acquired by Salesforce.com.

Ning Ning holds an M.S. in computer science from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Van Goodrich

Vice President of Finance

As Vice President of Finance, Van Goodrich directs the company's corporate accounting, financial planning, reporting, and is also responsible for human resources.  

Prior to joining Accruent, Van was with Deloitte & Touche for 5 years in the Los Angeles and Sydney, Australia office where he worked in their Assurance & Advisory Technology Practice.  During that time he participated in the filing of multiple IPO’s for companies with a total market cap of $3.7 billion as well as helped complete several acquisitions of publicly traded companies. 

Van is a CPA, licensed in the State of California.  He has a BS Degree from California State, Long Beach.

Tim Langan

Vice President of Contract Services

As Vice President of Contract Services, Tim Langan is responsible for the planning, management, and delivery of the Accruent Contract Abstraction Service to all customers worldwide. This role includes determining all necessary client data needs, and then abstracting data from client contracts into the Accruent system.

Tim developed his expertise in process and technology during his 17 years in supply chain and manufacturing management and consulting. Prior to joining Accruent Tim ran regional sales for Connection to eBay, a venture funded by eBay and Accenture focused on managing online eBay sales for large companies. He was also a General Manager at Simplexis (acquired by publicbuy) running the Co-op vertical delivering B2B ecommerce solutions in the education space. Tim began his career at General Motors holding various positions including Plant Operations Manager in Mexico City, Mexico and Plant Quality Manager in the USA.

Tim has an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Purdue.

Bart Waldeck

Vice President of Product Strategy & Product Marketing

As Vice President of Product Strategy & Product Marketing, Bart Waldeck is responsible for Accruent’s product vision and strategy, along with overall product positioning and messaging. Additional responsibilities include the identification of ecosystem partners and solution evangelism.

Bart brings more than 12 years of industry experience in software and real estate to Accruent, with specific focus on enterprise real estate management and performance. Prior to joining Accruent, Bart was VP of Business Development at Lucernex Technologies, a real estate lifecycle software pioneer. He has also held executive positions as Managing Director at NorthStar Advisory Group, Manager of Financial Services at CB Richard Ellis, and worked for Accenture in their global retail practice.

Bart received his BS in Economics from Northern Illinois University, and his MBA in International Marketing & Finance from the Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University.
