Accruent Advances Goal of Unifying the Real Estate and Facilities Lifecycle

Synchronized Release of Accruent 7.2 and FAMIS Xi Release 3 Extends Market Leading IWMS Solution

Santa Monica, Calif., October 28, 2008 — In a significant stride toward integration of its real estate and facilities management applications, Accruent, Inc. today announced the release of Accruent 7.2 and FAMIS Xi Release 3. These products deliver the world’s most comprehensive IWMS solution, spanning the targeting, selection, and ongoing management of real estate and facilities.

The coordinated availability of the next generation of both products will assist the growing number of customers who have recently selected, and are in the process of implementing, both products.

The releases represent significant enhancements to both solutions:

  • FAMIS XiR3 is a major version release for the FAMIS product line. It represents the third stage of the phased, suite-wide implementation of next-generation technologies. Using state of the art interface design and web service-based architecture, FAMIS now offers unparalleled flexibility to implement unique customer workflows and business requirements without software modification.
  • Accruent 7.2 builds on its reputation as the industry’s strongest “out of the box” real estate lifecycle solution with additional functionality driven by extensive customer experience. The new release, which is already in production at selected customer sites, is designed to accelerate implementation and time-to-value by broadening key capabilities, including workflow, scheduling, reporting, and cash flow management.

“We’re on track to accomplish the goals we set when we acquired FAMIS Software earlier this year,” said Mark Friedman, Accruent founder and chief executive officer. “The market is seeking a partner that can provide them with a location system of record that enhances visibility and provides deep functional capabilities across the entire real estate and facilities lifecycle. This has always been Accruent’s vision, and with the release of these products we continue to make that vision a reality.”

The benefits of an integrated solution have never been more relevant. In these times of tight credit and an emphasis on cost reduction, leading organizations are looking for ways to optimize business processes and get control of corporate expenditures. With real estate and facilities management operations consuming over 30% of corporate non-payroll expenses, Accruent’s holistic approach provides the clarity and control required to reduce expense across the entire real estate portfolio.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
