Groundbreaking Real Estate Lifecycle: Trends and Analysis Survey Identifies Best Practices and Trends in Industry

Santa Monica, Calif. and New York City — January 9, 2008 — Accruent, Inc., the leading provider of Real Estate Performance Management (RPM) solutions, and Kurt Salmon Associates (KSA), a global management consulting firm, today announced that the groundbreaking National Retail Federation (NRF) Retail Real Estate study, conducted by AMR Research and underwritten by Accruent and KSA, will be released at NRF’s Annual Convention, January 13-16, 2008 in New York City. NRF is the world’s largest retail trade group.

All interested individuals are encouraged to attend three sessions, which will kick off high profile discussions about real estate, at the Convention on Sunday, January 13, 2008.  First, Rob Garf, Vice President, Retail Strategies from AMR Research, will present the findings from NRF’s Real Estate Lifecycle Survey.  Next, a panel of retail real estate executives will discuss best practices and the current state of retail real estate.  The final session will feature Wall Street analysts as they dissect the impact of real estate on retailers’ income statements, balance sheets, and market valuations.  The sessions will conclude with a networking roundtable luncheon for all executives in attendance.

NRF offers Sunday-only pricing for the show.  Please visit www.nrf.com/annual08 for all show registration and information. Press may register at www.nrf.com/pressreg

NRF’s 2007 Real Estate Lifecycle: Trends and Analysis survey was conducted to gauge how retailers are managing their real estate portfolio to achieve revenue outcomes, controlcosts, and facilitate regulatory compliance. According to the survey, retailers have embraced a holistic real estate management approach, taking advantage of streamlined processes, deeper consumer insights, and maturing technology to identify emerging formats, gain operational efficiencies, and seize market share.

“This survey is invaluable,” said Mark Friedman, chief executive officer of Accruent. “NRF has identified the lack of objective data to help its members benchmark both their internal processes and their progress versus their peers. The study shows that retail leaders have found a new performance lever and are establishing competitive advantage through a strategic approach to managing the real estate lifecycle.”

“As thought leaders in real estate management, we are pleased to have underwritten this compelling study,” said Mike Brown, a Principal at KSA. “We’re not surprised the survey found that process improvements are key, particularly in the areas of market planning and site selection. Retailers now have hard data to back up their decisions to reengineer these processes.”

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
