Accruent Selected by AstraZeneca for Global IWMS Implementation
Healthcare leader embraces company vision and depth of product functionality

Santa Monica, Calif., December 18, 2008Accruent, Inc. announced today that under an agreement signed earlier this year, it is engaged with AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP (AstraZeneca) for a global Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) implementation. AstraZeneca will implement an Accruent software solution for real estate and facilities management at various locations around the world.

“This is a landmark agreement for Accruent,” said Mark Friedman, chief executive officer of Accruent. “AstraZeneca is one of the first companies to complete such a large-scale selection since we announced our acquisition of FAMIS Software earlier this year. The breadth of capability we offer enables major organizations like AstraZeneca to consider a single partner for their IWMS programs, and we are extremely proud that AstraZeneca has chosen our company. This agreement marks an exciting new chapter in our long-term relationship.”

Accruent’s IWMS solution will enable AstraZeneca to standardize their facilities move process and other real estate processes. The solution will not only help ensure consistency of real estate and facilities information, but will also support AstraZeneca’s corporate plan to reduce operating costs.

“We wanted a partner that combined strong functionality with proven customer success and a clear vision for the future,” said Bill Telford, Project Sponsor at AstraZeneca. “We have been working with several IWMS providers, and following a rigorous process, the Accruent team demonstrated the best fit to our selection criteria.”

IWMS implementations offer significant ROI potential because of the substantial capital and expenses involved in building, operating and maintaining a large facilities portfolio. Accruent is a leader in this marketplace based on not only its product capabilities but also its more than 400 successful customer implementations.
