The Sales Development Manager primary role is to maximize the number of leads generated by the business development team through coaching, training and managing of the Business Development. The primary focus is aimed at partnering with other sales leaders and unifying on strategy to build pipeline. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for winning and a proven track record of success in lead generation for enterprise software solutions. The Manager, Business Development will be presiding over outbound Business Development Representatives and will be responsible for coaching and mentoring them to success.

This position reports directly to the Director, Global Business Development and will be located in and will be a remote opportunity until our workforce returns to the office.  

How you'll make a difference:

  • Work with the sales and marketing management team in creating strategies and processes for driving new business across product lines.
  • Train and Coach Sales Development Representatives on all aspects of their required tasks.
  • Coach Sales Development Representatives on new opportunities for the sales pipeline by setting qualified face-to-face meetings with identified management executives at targeted companies.
  • Obtain business intelligence on targeted prospects utilizing various methods to include cold calling, warm lead follow-up and analyst briefings.
  • Document details of identified opportunities to clearly communicate situation and account profile (including management org charts) for sales personnel and management.
  • Support specific marketing programs, lead generation campaigns, inbound web leads, and targeted sales activities.
  • Must be constantly striving for self-improvement and possess the curiosity to stay abreast of industry and market trends by utilizing various research organizations, sales books, and collateral.

What you bring to the table: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business preferred)
  • 2+ years of business development and/or sales experience (SaaS preferred)
  • Experience with SalesForce.com and Sales Enablement Platforms
  • Experience leading teams of 6-8 members
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
