The Role:

Accruent is looking for a Commercial Paralegal to join its Legal team. This person will manage the company’s customer and vendor contracting processes and activities, including data abstraction, database maintenance, contract administration, and drafting customer and vendor contracts under the direction of the company’s commercial attorneys. The Commercial Paralegal will have the opportunity to provide contract and general administrative support for all client, vendor, and other contracts and legal documentation. This position is a great opportunity for someone to deploy their knowledge and drive value across a global organization while gaining valuable legal and business experience.

This position reports directly to Accruent’s Senior Paralegal and will be located in Accruent's Headquarters in Austin, Texas (preferred) or will be remote.

How you'll make a difference:

  • Work under the direction of Accruent’s Legal team and via a sales playbook to prepare draft contracts and make adjustments to standard contract terms when needed.
  • Review and compare contracts signed by customers for any changes they may have made to the Company’s standard forms before sending the documents for execution.
  • Become a subject matter expert regarding Accruent’s contract management system and workstreams.
  • Assist with contract data migration projects as part of any M&A activity.
  • Assign and distribute customer and vendor contract cases to the Legal team.
  • Review and interpret clauses from customer and vendor contracts as needed, with support from the Legal team.
  • Maintain the Company's certificates of insurance to ensure Company compliance with contractual insurance requirements.
  • Provide support for RFP/RFI processes and due diligence questionnaires to ensure that such processes align with the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Other ad hoc projects as assigned by Accruent's Senior Paralegal
  • Assist in crafting and implementing policies and procedures that affect the timely and accurate completion of customer and vendor contracts.
  • Performs other duties or responsibilities as needed.

What you bring to the table:

  • Ability to read, draft, and understand basic legal terms and contractual provisions.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SharePoint, DocuSign, and Adobe Pro preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent administration, interpersonal and verbal and written skills.
  • Must be customer service-oriented and a flexible, great teammate with high energy.
  • Meticulous and highly adaptable.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • College degree in business legal or in a relevant field.
  • 3 or more years of paralegal or commercial contract experience.
